These hinges allow you to mount two panels together with a 1" gap, which also allows you to fold panels up or down making shelves or tables. The hinges use the same square-lock system to attach easily to panels or other accessories. By spacing panels apart 1", you can add accessories that span across two panels and still attach at the correct spacing.
